Information on the cessation of business activities as KOVE general importer in Austria
Dear customers,
dear dealer partners,
We, Franz Forman and Markus Trimmel, would like to inform you openly and transparently about the developments surrounding the KOVE brand in Austria.
At the end of December 2025, we acquired Fly 42 GmbH, the then Austrian general importer for KOVE motorcycles. The aim of this acquisition was to sustainably stabilise the brand and develop it professionally on the Austrian market.
As part of this restructuring, a larger vehicle order of approximately 170 motorcycles was prepared in order to supply customers who had already been waiting for some time.
In January 2026, however, we were informed by KOVE China that this order would not be accepted and that the existing general importer contract would not be renewed beyond March 2026. According to KOVE China, this decision is not related to the acquisition of Fly 42 GmbH.
Due to the expiring contractual relationship, we are therefore compelled to inform you that we will cease our activities as general importer for KOVE motorcycles in Austria.
KOVE China has announced that it will appoint a new general importer for Austria.
For us, KOVE Austria (Fly 42 GmbH) was a short but very intensive chapter – characterised by commitment, passion and ambitious plans. Even though this chapter ends unexpectedly and early, we continue to believe in the potential of the brand and wish KOVE all the best for the future on the Austrian market.

From the acquisition to reorientation – an overview of the chronological sequence
Acquisition of Fly 42 GmbH
Franz Forman and Markus Trimmel acquire Fly 42 GmbH, the then Austrian general importer for KOVE motorcycles.
The aim of the acquisition is to professionally develop the KOVE brand in Austria and stabilise existing structures.
Preparation of a Large Order
To supply customers who have been waiting, a larger vehicle order of approximately 170 motorcycles is prepared.
Decision by KOVE China
KOVE China decides not to accept the planned order and simultaneously announces that the existing importer contract will not be renewed beyond March 2026.
Sales Stop
As a result of this decision, active sales of KOVE motorcycles are discontinued.
Remaining available vehicles are only sold on individual request.
Contract End
The existing general importer contract between Fly 42 GmbH and KOVE China ends definitively.
Fly 42 GmbH subsequently ceases all sales activities related to the previous import model, and all business activities are placed on hold.
Strategic New Start with FTMOTO
Following the end of the previous importer model, Franz Forman and Markus Trimmel launch a strategic new start under the company and brand FTMOTO at location 2831 Warth.
